BUX falls 0.67%, loses with peers

The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index closed down 0.67pc at 22,508.02 on Wednesday, losing along with regional peers and most European share indices. The BUX opened in positive territory, then fluctuated throughout the session, dipping into the red several times.

OTP Bank lost 0.9% to HUF 5,310 on turnover of HUF 14.75 billion, oil and gas company MOL fell 0.50% to HUF 20,000 on turnover of HUF 1.78 billion, drug maker Richter dropped 0.56% to HUF 44,650 on turnover of HUF 1.9 billion and Magyar Telekom closed down 0.73% at HUF 682 on turnover of HUF 0.42 billion.

Share turnover amounted to HUF 19.5 billion for the session.

The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index finished the session down 0.64% at 2,013.52.

Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 fell 0.48% and Prague's PX-50 dropped 0.46%.

Major European share indices were mixed, with London's FTSE falling 0.89%, Frankfurt's DAX losing 0.80% and the CAC-40 in Paris gaining 0.20%. (MTI-ECONEWS)

K&H investment fund assets reach HUF 797 billion by June 30

OTP Bank signs $20m import credit agreement with Taiwan's eximbank

13:48, Sep 7 | Hungary's OTP Bank has signed an agreement on a $20 million refinancing credit line with the Export-Import Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to provide financing for the import of products made in Taiwan to Hungary, OTP informed MTI on Tuesday.
